First off, thanks so much for being there! Your videos are extremely valuable…

Got a question/situation. All devices are running. Smart phone connected to Phantom wireless. Camera’s up and visible on Smart phone. BUT, as I begin to fly I can see movement on the Smart phone. After just a few seconds, the Smart phone's video freezes, sometimes for a short time, sometimes for a very long time. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t rely visually on the Smart phone to show me where and in what direction the Phantom’s in. I’ve begun to really rely on the compass indicator on the Smart phone for its direction.

Does this mean the Extender is crapping out on me? Or the Extenders antenna is faulty? Ideas???

Yes it can be a problem!!!

I have found 3 ways to fix it

1/ Drop your preview to the LOWEST resolution setting

if doesn't fix it

2/ Re-Seat your SD card in the camera

if doesn't fix it

3/ Close ALL the apps on your phone! (See below)

And then Re-Start Phantom and Re-boot phone to dump all memory

(Again! Make sure all your APPS are closed off)

Closing Apps on I Phone

To close all your apps on an I phone, double click the MAIN BUTTON

and you will see a list of all your open apps along the bottom

Hold each one down to close them all one at a time

(You may be horrified how many are open!)

I find this pretty bullet proof and your previews should be back to normal!!
