UPDATED & Now with Boobs!

You may have experienced a situation on your smart phone where the camera previews are lagging way behind the actual camera or even completely freezing the preview screen at times.

 

Its annoying and hard to work out what the hec you are filming or what direction you are flying in.

 

So here's our solution when it happens to us

 

1/ Make sure your camera feed, preview is set to the LOWEST resolution setting to allow data to sream faster

 

2/ if that doesnt fix it

Close ALL the apps on your smart phone! 

These can take up a lot of memory and slow things down

 

To do this, double click the MAIN BUTTON and you will see a list of all your open apps along the bottom of the screen. 

 

Hold each one down to close them all one at a time

(You may be horrified how many are open!)

 

With updated Iphones, you just flick them up to close

 

Then reboot your phone and the phantom

 

3/ if that doesnt fix it

Re-Seat your SD card in the Phantom camera to make sure the contacts are making good contact and that your wifi plug is plugged in properly to the camera

 

4/ A new problem we have just been alerted to due to a firmware issue,is to try shutting down your DJI app, turn your phone into Airplane mode and then turning on WIFi 
This also works really well for GoPros!
