We have been trying out many of the third party LiPo Batteries being launched onto the market of recent, for the DJI Phantom Vision with varying results.

 

Some of them just don't work!!!  But bit by bit, most seem to be getting better.

There's a lot available now, right up to 6000 mah

 

Some of the Chinese Batteries seem to be very good, if you can be bothered having to go through the "China Barrier" when ordering. But there are also batteries now coming out
of Taiwan that are probably better and similar in cost.

One of the most significant changes, is probably the styles of DJI Phantom batteries now on offer. The latest round of releases, introduces things like LCD displays with the actual remaining voltage on display! Nice idea!  Plus there is now a massive range of 6000 Mah batteries on offer.

 

For the more serious Phantom pilots, some of the chargers now also offer some fairy unique configurations for multi charging.

One company we tried were called AGA Power.
They have been pretty good to deal with so far
and offer a 5400 MHA battery.
 

We are on about our 30th charge for this now and
it is still working well! (A little bit tight in the battery
compartment, but all in all pretty good)

 

 

 

 

 

You can buy these for about 60% off normal retail, but freight can be a bit of a killer for LiPO Batteries and weight depending on where you are. So the difference may not be that great in the end.

Buying Direct from DJI can also be good with no warranty issues and free freight,

depending on the order and of course Battery.com are excellent as well for a larger
range of Lipo batteries.
